Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) retailed over 1,00,000 units of two-wheelers on the auspicious day of Dhanteras, couple of days before Diwali. This record retail sales in a single day was possible due to the overwhelming demand for models across segments, including the Hero Splendor, Passion, the scooters Maestro and Pleasure, and the new launches such as Ignitor and the refreshed Hunk and Xtreme. Splendor had clocked over 1.8 lakh units in despatch sales in the month of October. The cumulative despatch sales of Splendor in the YTD period (April-October 2012) this year has already crossed 1.4 million (14 lakhs). The other iconic brand “Passion” also continues its dream run, clocking over 8,00,000 despatch sales in the YTD period (April - October 2012). Another new launch of HMCL - the 110cc motorcycle Passion X Pro - is also now available in dealerships across the country. Starting from Rs. 46,800/- (ex-showroom Delhi), Passion X Pro has been attractively priced and offers added excitement to customers in the festive season.
